What can I expect from my Lithium batteries?
Generally speaking, lithium batteries can be discharged much faster than stationary lead-acid batteries. They also allow a greater proportion of their capacity to be used. It's common to be able to discharge them in an hour and use up to 90% of their capacity.
How do you know your battery's capacity?
This is expressed in ampere hours, and is the product of multiplying the battery's capacity (Ah) by its voltage (V):
Example: 4 x 100Ah 12V batteries connected in series will produce a voltage of 48V. These batteries will have a total capacity of 4.8kWh
48V * 100Ah = 4800 Wh = 4.8 kWh
