Differential switches are designed and certified to protect against fibrillation, electric shock and electrocution (for example, if a person comes directly into contact with a wire).
Today, the new electrical installations are equipped with additional equipment, such as inverters for photovoltaic installations, speed dimmers in HVAC systems, pumps and inverters. These non-linear charges produce complex leaks in CC and in frequencies that cannot be detected by standard Type AC or Type A differential switches.
Type B differential switches are the optimal solution for these complex loads, detecting current leaks to the CA and PURE cc high-frequency land in addition to normal CA current leaks.
