ARGO Victron diode battery distributor
Diode battery distributors allow two or more batteries to be charged simultaneously from an alternator, without connecting the batteries to each other. Discharging the auxiliary battery, for example, will not result in discharging the starter battery. Low voltage drop thanks to highly efficient Schottky diodes.
Diode splitters enable several batteries to be charged simultaneously from a single alternator, without connecting them together. When discharging, too, the batteries remain isolated: using the service battery, for example, will not discharge the starter battery.
ARGO distributors feature reduced voltage drop thanks to the use of Schottky diodes: at low current the loss will be around 0.3 V, and at full power 0.45 V. All models are equipped with a compensation diode to slightly raise the alternator output voltage to compensate for the voltage loss of the distributor.
